Micro Gear Motors¶
Product Overview¶
SigGear develops miniature gear-motor and compact transmission solutions for robotics, medical devices, laboratory automation, precision instruments and compact industrial mechanisms.
The product range is based on miniature planetary gear reducers and application-specific motor integration. Available gearbox diameters and final motor configurations depend on the required torque, speed, voltage, installation envelope and production quantity.
Product Scope¶
- Miniature planetary gear motors
- Compact planetary reduction motors
- Motor and gearbox integration based on the 8–42 mm planetary reducer range
- Custom output shafts, flanges and mounting interfaces
- Optional encoder, brake, cable and connector integration after engineering review
- Application-specific OEM and ODM development
Typical Applications¶
- Micro robotics
- Robot grippers and end effectors
- Medical and dental devices
- Laboratory automation
- Optical adjustment mechanisms
- Precision instruments
- Smart hardware
- Miniature pumps and valves
- Compact automation mechanisms
Motor Integration¶
Depending on the selected gearbox and project requirements, SigGear can evaluate integration with:
- Brushed DC motors
- Brushless DC motors
- Stepper motors
- Servo motors
- Customer-specified motors
Motor compatibility is confirmed according to input speed, power, shaft interface, duty cycle, thermal conditions and required output performance.
Start Even If the Ratio Is Not Defined¶
A project can start from the mechanism rather than a complete gearbox specification. If the reduction ratio is unknown, provide the motor speed and desired output speed if available. If the output torque is unknown, send the load, mechanism geometry or a sketch so the engineering team can identify what must be calculated or tested.
